KEY SCHOOL ACTIVITIES.

Allenton Primary School - Visit to Sudbury Hall June 2006

Appreciating the rural setting. Sketching Sudbury Hall Sudbury Church. Osmaston Hall had a church next to it too. Sudbury Hall from the rear gardens. The butler, Mr Curton, showed the groups around the house.

Chaddesden Park Junior School - Visit to Elvaston Castle

   
A tour around Elvaston led by the Senior Ranger. Looking for built and natural features. Sketching the castle.    

Rolls Royce heritage Centre

A competition to see whose aeroplane flies the furthest. Admiring the vintage Rolls-Royce. Looking at the Harrier jet engine. A graduate trainnee explaining some technical matters. A chance to go inside a bomber plane.

Pupils discover the work done by Rolls-Royce. Pupils were impressed by the scale of the engine. Graduate trainnees prepared a quiz on information to be found in the centre. The graduates helped the pupils to make paper aeroplanes. The new Rolls-Royce workforce!

       
The visits round the Heritage Centre were led by the graduate trainnees.
